Tonsley, Australia’s first “Innovation District” was the venue for the first Science Alive! satellite event. Several thousand people swarmed to the venue to meet native Australian animals, take part in robotics sessions, see the amazing bubble show, and, of course, to get hands-on experience with our Hitachi TM4000Plus scanning electron microscope.

We had a European Wasp in the system, which the 120-ish kids who got to use the microscope found “fascinating”, “creepy”, “weird”, and “amazing”.
