The Mathematical Association of South Australia (MASA), and the South Australian Science Teachers’ Association (SASTA) hosted a conference for STEM teachers in years 6 to 11 at the Australian School of Mathematics and Science. The program included several workshop presentations.
We had our TM4000 scanning electron microscope set up for the event, and attracted many visitors in the trade display hall. Many were surprised when we suggested they should sit down and operate it themselves, and commented on how easy it was to use once they’d captured their first few images.
